Where is flat XPS board used?
It is used on flat (terrace) roofs, below-ground shear walls and foundations in contact with soil; for external wall insulation that does not require render and under siding; and in floors and under parquet, pitched roofs, sandwich walls and underfloor heating systems.
What are the thermal conductivity and dimensions of flat XPS?
According to the MEGA XPS technical data sheets, the declared thermal conductivity is λD 0.035 W/mK for types T1500, T2000 and T3000, and 0.036 W/mK for type T2500; the boards are produced in 600 x 1200 mm, with thickness options of 20–120 mm.
What is the water absorption of XPS?
Long-term water absorption by total immersion is declared as WL(T)0.7 (max. 0.7%) (TS EN 12087).
What is the reaction to fire class of flat XPS board?
According to the MEGA XPS technical data sheets, flat XPS boards have a reaction to fire class of E (TS EN 13501-1); XPS is a combustible material. Where A1 class is required, stone wool products should be considered.
