World Human Relief (WHR) initiated the project in Üzümlü Village, located on the Iraqi border, and MEGA Insulation Solutions is one of its major supporters of the education initiative. By participating in this project, which aims to provide students with a cool environment in summer and a warm, healthy environment in winter for their education, the company has added another social responsibility project to its portfolio, continuing its contribution to energy efficiency.
The border village, located 80 km from Hakkari city center and 15 km from Çukurca district center, now has a brand new school. Construction began last term, and the two-story building, completed for the 2022-2023 academic year, boasts 12 classrooms. The village, with a population of 1400 and reopened for settlement in 2006, will now provide 400 children with a more modern, warmer, and much healthier learning environment. With the support of the Hakkari Governorship and the Provincial Directorate of National Education, MEGA Insulation Solutions, a company specializing in all aspects of insulation, also contributed to the construction of the school in Üzümlü Village on the Turkey-Iraq border. As a member of İZODER (Izmir Insulation Manufacturers Association), MEGA Insulation Solutions, along with other İZODER members, provided all the necessary materials and labor for water, sound, and thermal insulation during the school's construction.
